A mini Duracell flashlight with a couple of extra AAA batteries. The LCD panel light is great, but it doesn't illuminate your camera body, or lens, etc. For those mornings when you're waiting for the sun to rise and there's virtually no light, you can set up with ease early enough for twilight shots! I just hold it in place with my teeth as I get everything set. (also, if you have to hike a little bit to get to that magical, photo spot, a flashlight comes in handy in the wee hours as well! I know this isn't a "gift" type item, but I think it is definitely something you should have in your bag.
