My New Toy…OMFG it’s a Nikon!

That’s right, I bought my first nikon… and I’m lovin it so far. Does that mean I’m a nikon guy now? Hell no! Can’t I go both ways?

Anyways, here are my first impressions:

Amazing LCD. SO sharp and bright.
Very cool viewfinder… bright, big with 100% coverage.
High ISO/Low-light – wow. Such an improvement over other nikons I’ve used.
Too many buttons! Could be because I’m not used to working with a nikon, but wow, lots of buttons, switches and dials.

NIKON! wtf? I will never visit this site again!

Just kidding. The D300 is a great camera, I consider to change from Canon to Nikon, but I like the L series so much.

I’ve been a Nikonian for quite a while and currently own the D300 and D700. If you think the viewfinder’s big and bright on the D300, have a look through a D700 viewfinder. Ok, it’s not 100% coverage but it’s as near as makes no difference!

Why not have Canon and Nikon? There’s absolutely no law against it….!
