Cartagena, Colombia Here I Come!

Tomorrow night I’ll be hoppin’ on a redeye to the beautiful but humid Cartagena, Colombia for a friends wedding. Cartagena is a beach-side resort town on the Caribbean, rich in history and architecture.
I expect to do a good amount of shooting, but I’ve decided to travel light for once, and I’m trying to get the biggest impact in the smallest footprint. Here’s what I’m bringing:
- My Canon 30D (of course)
- Canon 24mm f/1.4 L (Thanks Jessey!)
- Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L IS
- Giottos Rocket Blower
- Canon 580EX Speedlite
- Battery charger, cleaning cloths, extra CF cards…
…and thats it! Pretty good considering I usually bring 4 to 5 lenses and a myriad of accessories. Wish me luck and hope I don’t get kidnapped!

I hope you go to Baru, beautiful beaches.
And dont forget to walk in the downtown, the historical city inside walls. Go in the afternoon and night, it`s very beautiful
Thanks for all the well wishes. Made it back safe, and it was an excellent trip. Cartagena is an amazing place.
@Saudade – We didnt make it to Baru, but we were staying in El centro, so definitely did a lot of walking around the walled city. We also spent a day at Islas Des Rosarios. I’ll do a follow-up post at some point this week with some pics.
