Those lenses do awfully well when you look at them from a price to performance standpoint. Quite jealous that you've got a 5D to work on as well... I had the same for my 30D and it made a great normal. For the 5D, I just bought the cheaper EF 28mm f/2.8, and I'm loving how small, light, and distortion free it is. It’s a great lens, no doubt.
