Simply put, one of the most valuable accessories you can buy for your DSLR kit. Ya, it may look funny, but it works and it works well. I primarily purchased the Giottos Rocket Blower for quick sensor cleaning, which in most of today’s DSLRs, is a big issue. Since most manufacturers recommend you never directly touch the sensor, this is a safe, manufacturer approved method for getting rid of that pesky sensor dust.

This blower is available in 3 sizes, and is CHEAP - i got my large one for 8 bucks on amazon. I can’t say enough how much i use this thing. If my camera is with me, generally so is the blower. As i mentioned, i bought this thing for getting dust off my sensor , but i find myself using it while shooting to get dust off the front of lenses and i use it every time i switch lenses - to prevent any uneccessary dust from sneaking into my camera body. As a sensor dust remover, its effective 95% of the time, but sometimes, the sensor needs a little more - which i will go into detail in a future post.

The bottom line is, when used frequently, the Giottos Rocket Blower will insure your swabbed sensor cleanings are few and far between as they should be. and for the most part keep those annoying dust spots of your shots. If you don’t have one of these things or something similar, and you have a DSLR, get off your cheap ass and order one.
