I agree wholeheartedly as another shooter using a 30D! This was my first purchase after I got the body (I came from shooting an EOS-3+PB-E2 and I missed the extra set of controls and the weight) and I love it. I apreciate the extra weight as i find it balanced nicely with the 24-105 f/4L and 200mm f/2.8L lenses I shoot (As well as my new 17-55 f/2.8 that I nabbed to replace the 24-105) And I've actually credited that balance for being able to nab some pretty good handheld shots that others thought were "impossible"

My only complaint was that in comparison to the nice Magnesium body of the 30D it felt rather cheap material-wise, and it costs quite a lot in my book, but I felt it was well worth it.
